OMC's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David Frenz was recently featured in the Peer Perspective Podcast about mental health and addiction titled "Breaking Stigma & Expanding Access in Rural Communities."

Dr. Frenz, a board-certified expert in addiction medicine has a deep understanding of how substance use affects individuals and communities. As the head of OMC's mental health and addiction services, Dr. Frenz focuses on ways to reduce barriers to treatment and bring much-needed mental health care to our community.


In this podcast, he talks about the “soft stigma,” associated with medication assisted treatment and why it's time to shift the narrative from "one size fits all" approaches to recovery to the many paths now available to patients.
