Billing & Insurance

Osceola Medical Center takes pride in patient care and service. This also applies to the billing process after you leave. Although, ultimately, patients are responsible for their accounts, we will work as best we can to help you manage your accounts. At your disposal are patient account representatives, financial counselors and a patient advocate.

Pay Your Bill Online

Below is a convenient way to pay your bills quickly and securely online. Please note that this payment method is for your Osceola Medical Center bill, only.

We take pride in the care we provide at Osceola Medical Center. We feel this care also extends to the billing process after you leave.

 

To help you, we have dedicated Patient Account Representatives available to answer your insurance questions and Financial Counselors to help you with your self pay balances.

 

We also have several support staff members and a Patient Advocate to provide you with additional help.

For questions about insurance, ask for a Patient Account Representative. For questions about your self pay balance or financial assistance, ask for our Patient Advocate or a Financial Counselor.

Payment Options

As a courtesy to you, we will submit bills to your insurance company and follow the processing of your claim. After that, we have many options for you to pay your balance.

 

To help you, we accept Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express. We also accept payments online, see options above.

 

OMC also accepts cash, personal checks, money orders and healthcare savings account reimbursements. Payment plans can also be arranged.

 

We are happy to help you with your bill. Although we will make every effort to resolve the account balance with your insurance carrier, remember that your policy is between you and your insurance carrier. On occasion it may be necessary for you to contact your insurance carrier to expedite payment.

 

Even with our help, ultimately, you have the responsibility and obligation to pay your bill promptly.

Medical billing can be complicated. To help, we've answered some common questions about our billing process.

Price Transparency

The federal government requires each hospital to post on its website a list of its standard charges for each inpatient and outpatient service and item provided by the hospital. The list is available in a machine-readable format and as a price estimator.

Financial Assistance Policy (Full)

We offer financial help to our patients who cannot pay all or part of their medical bills. You may apply for help through our Community Care program. This program covers charges for many of our services at our clinic and hospital.

Community Care

The Community care program covers charges at Osceola Medical Center’s clinic and hospital. You may qualify if your income is at or below 301% of the Federal Policy Guidelines.

To apply, call 715-294-5637. We will mail an application to you along with a list of the required documents (you will need to show proof of your income and property).

 

You can also stop by the hospital information desk or call a financial counselor for assistance with the application process at the hospital where you received your care. You can also access the applications online.

Billing and Collections Policy

No Surprise Billing Policy

When you get emergency care or treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing. The no surprise billing policy is available in person or translatable online.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
