we could use a clinician with your expertise
Our aim is to help the Osceola area be the healthiest, happiest community in the country. Not a small goal, but a worthy one!
Are you ready to leave corporate healthcare behind? Come join our team at Osceola Medical Center, an independent critical access hospital just 50 minutes northeast of the Twin Cities. When you’re a part of the OMC team, you’ll enjoy more autonomy (and less bureaucracy!) You’ll be included in decisions that affect your practice and have easy access to decision makers when you have ideas on better ways to provide care to our community. (Change happens more quickly here without all the corporate red tape!)

your questions, answered
Will my partner be able to find a job here?
Between local employers and the wealth of opportunities that proximity to the Twin Cities metro area provides, the short answer is: yes! If your partner works in medicine, they may find opportunities at OMC as well!

Does OMC offer specialty care?
Currently, the hospital can provide care in 17 specialties. See complete list below!

What is Osceola's school system like?
"At the Osceola School District, we combine the care of a close-knit community with meaningful educational opportunities—where students are known, dreams are nurtured, and our community grows stronger together." —Becky Styles, superintendent

What if I have patients whose needs exceed OMC’s resources?
We are affiliated with Health Partners, a large hospital in the Twin Cities. Regions in St. Paul is our primary tertiary care hospital.

osceola—a delightful surprise
Nestled along the banks of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, our Osceola community has been described by many a travel writer as “charming” and many a newcomer as “a delightful surprise.” We’re happy to quash any pre-conceived notions about small midwestern towns—and even happier to report that the best parts of small-town life—Fourth of July parades, county fairs, Mom and Pop storefronts along our main street, a true sense of community—are alive and well in Osceola!
Settled in 1844, we’ve preserved enough of our early history to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places—many of the town’s original buildings, built by lumberjacks, fur traders, and other early settlers, still line downtown area streets.
Less than 40 miles from the Twin Cities metro area, Osceola is also a gateway to four state parks. Walking trails lead from downtown to Cascade Falls and the St. Croix River, to the bluff overlooking the St. Croix River Valley, and along Osceola Creek (a Class II trout stream). Hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, skiing … if you love being active outdoors, there’s a lot to love in Osceola!
OMC OFFERS
Small-town living. Parades down Main Street. Mom and Pop stores. Peaceful country air. There’s a lot to be said about living/working in a small town, but our favorite thing is this: It’s easier to tell when you’re making a difference in a community this size. And we love making a difference!
Big-city adjacency. The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are less than an hour south of Osceola, which translates to many things, including an easy commute, a convenient get-away, a ballgame, a night out ...
A modern (and growing) facility. We may be smaller than big-city healthcare, but that also makes us more nimble! We regularly assess community needs and work quickly to meet the market demand for services.

Competitive benefits. Our benefits package is equivalent to one you’d find at a large metropolitan health system.
we're proud to be a (certified!) family-friendly workplace
OMC's official certification as a "Family Friendly Workplace" underscores our commitment to fostering a supportive work environment.

As part of the certification process, Family Friendly Workplaces® conducted a comprehensive review of OMC's human resources policies and practices, awarding points for those that prioritize family support. As a result of this review, OMC received the highest Gold Level Family Friendly Workplace certification, an honor that reflects our unwavering dedication to our employees and their families.

OMC supports employees through:
• Employer contribution to HSA
• Employee Assistance Program
• Paid leave for maternity
• Paid bereavement
• Preferred parking for expectant mothers
• Company-wide family-friendly events
