Osceola Medical Center Completely Standardizes to New State-of-the-Art, Low Height Hospital Bed

Osceola, WI – As we headed into the 2021 holiday season, Osceola Medical Center and the Osceola Community Health Foundation had many reasons to be grateful. With support from the community and staff, OMC was able to purchase 14 new, state-of-the-art ProCuity® LE beds for their hospital.

“Patient and staff safety is at the foundation of everything we do at Osceola Medical Center,” explained Chief Executive Officer Matt Forge. “This purchase is an ongoing effort to improve patient outcomes, reduce in-hospital patient falls and assist our caregivers to deliver safer health care to all patient acuity levels.”

These new beds will enhance patient safety with features such as ergonomic side rails, weighted scales, and an intuitive monitoring system. They will also help OMC’s health-care team work together more effectively and efficiently. To further enhance patient safety and handling, Osceola Medical Center also added premium support surfaces to reduce pressure injuries when lying in a bed for extended time.

“We are pleased to be working with Osceola Medical Center to bring this next generation solution to their facility,” said Jessica Mathieson, VP/GM of Acute Care, Stryker. “The feedback we have gotten from nurses and other healthcare professionals is that fall prevention, standardization and patient and caregiver safety are incredibly important to hospitals today – and we achieve all of these outcomes with ProCuity.”

In addition to the hospital beds, OMC purchased a MV3 bed, designed for safe and dignified bariatric care; along with three Labor and Delivery beds, a Gynnie stretcher and two Prime Big Wheel Electric stretchers for their Emergency.
