Christian Community Home of Osceola is the newest addition to our campus. It is a place of care, guidance, security, individual choice, dignity and respect. Attached to the medical center, it incorporates a “neighborhood design” concept into 20-bed “households”, two for nursing care and one for Hearthside Assisted Living. Click here for more information.
The neighborhood design concept is intriguing, especially splitting twenty beds into smaller households rather than one large wing. I wonder how that scale affects staffing and whether residents actually form closer bonds with a consistent group of caregivers. Does the assisted living household operate differently from the nursing care ones in daily routines or shared spaces? It seems like a meaningful shift away from institutional layouts, and I'd be curious how families respond to it over time.
