Samantha Kath, FNP
Philosophy of Care: I commit to treating each patient as a whole person with recognition of the impact their physical health, environment, lifestyle, and emotional health can have on their well-being. I build strong and trusting relationships with my patients, listening attentively to their concerns, and valuing and encouraging their perspectives and creation of their individualized plan of care. I integrate evidence-based medical knowledge with a compassionate approach. I encourage my patients to gain a thorough understanding of preventive care and health education and maintenance to be confident in making informed and educated decisions about their care. My mission is to promote optimal health and well-being through comprehensive, holistic, patient-centered care, and to allow my patients to feel heard, understood, valued, and supported in their health and journey with me.
What drew you to OMC? I enjoy the aspect of working with a localized community in a small town setting. I am passionate about rural healthcare and want to service communities with a greater need.
Personal Interests: I enjoy spending time with my husband, two young children, and family dog. We are avid hunters, fishers, and outdoorsmen. I also enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, staying active with my family, and spending time in nature during all seasons.
Fun Fact: I strive to spend a majority of my time in nature, my husband and I have adventured to the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota many times. My husband proposed while we were in the BWCA on one of our summer trips!
