Michael Repplinger, MD
Medical Director, Emergency Medicine
Philosophy of Care: My philosophy of care is built on the dual pillars of clinical excellence and unwavering patient advocacy. I believe that providing the highest standard of emergency medicine requires not only superb technical skills and evidence-based precision but also a deep commitment to the underserved. Every patient deserves a fierce advocate in their most vulnerable moments and I strive to ensure this for all patients under my care.
What drew you to work at OMC? What drew me to OMC was the opportunity to practice medicine in a place where the "community" isn't just a catchment area—it's a neighbor. Having a deep-rooted connection to small town Wisconsin, I've always found that the best care happens when you have the time to thoroughyl understand a patient's comprehensive needs, not just their symptoms. It was clear from my first arrival that the administrative team here shares that commitment, prioritizing the needs of the community above all else. I am thrilled to be part of a leadership team that values both clinical excellence and the personal connections that define rural healthcare.
Personal Interests: When I'm not in the ED, I'm usually looking for a trail or a new horizon. I'm an avid hiker and cyclist, which is my favorite way to reset after a busy string of shifts. My passion for traveling has taken me to six continents so far, and I love the challenge of navigating new cultures as much as I love navigating the medical center.
Fun Fact: I'm a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan and am always on the hunt for the latest tech gadgets.
