Emergency Medicine
Philosophy of Care:Â In a rural setting, we're more than an emergency department; we're neighbors caring for neighbors, and I never lose sight of the relationships and trust that come with that. After more than two decades in emergency medicine, what still drives me every day is treating every patient the way I'd want my own family treated.
What would you like people to know about OMC’s new ER? I want patients to know that when they walk through these doors, they’re in capable hands, that they’ll receive the same level of expertise and technology they'd find anywhere, right here in their own community.
What drew you to work at OMC? Osceola is a beautiful part of Wisconsin, and a community that is similar to many of the smaller towns I've cared for patients in over the years. When we were teenagers, my buddy and I started a canoe trip down the St. Croix here—It's fun to come back, full circle!
Personal Interests:Â I spend lots of time outdoors hiking, canoeing, and backpacking. My wife and I spend time restoring the woods around us, playing with our dogs, and checking in on our two boys who have just left and are out making their way in the world.
Fun Fact: I am a die-hard MN sports fan, most notably the Vikings (which has been hard over the last couple of decades practicing in WI)!
