Speech Therapy, Rehabilitation

Philosophy of Care: I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to be the best version of themselves and having an illness or a medical event impacting any aspect of their life that could benefit from speech therapy also requires my best effort to maximize their quality of life.

What do you like most about your specialty? Speech therapy is so much more than just being able to talk. I really enjoy working with people on improving their communication. It is such a crucial piece in who you are and having a means to communicate thoughts and engage in conversation is so important across so many aspects of life.

What drew you to work at OMC?I've been working as a speech therapist in this community for several years and have treated many patients after they’ve been hospitalized at OMC. They always had wonderful things to say about OMC; I knew working here would align with my values.

Personal Interests: I love anything outdoors—hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking—and try to instill that love for the outdoors in my children as well.

Fun Fact: I grew up hunting and ice fishing and had to teach my husband how to do both.

Since we first opened our doors in 1932, OMC’s mission has remained the same: to inspire and improve the health and well-being of our community by combining quality "big city" healthcare with home-town customer service.
