Erycca Osterbauer, RN
Care Coordinator
Philosophy of Care: My philosophy of care is centered on the patient. I believe every patient deserves individualized care that recognizes who they are, what they need, and where they are in their own journey. I strive to meet patients where they are rather than expecting every patient or every birth to fit the same approach.
In obstetric care, I believe in helping each patient achieve their own version of a “perfect birth story.” A perfect birth does not necessarily mean a specific type of delivery or a particular birth plan. It means that the patient feels heard, respected, supported, informed, and involved in their care. My goal is to help patients feel that their birth experience reflects their values and wishes while ensuring that safety remains at the center of every decision.
What drew you to work at OMC? I grew up in Osceola and, in 2012, was planning to move back to the area. At the time, there was a night-shift opening in the OB department, so I applied and was fortunate enough to be offered the position. Over the years, I have grown to truly appreciate how special it is to work in a rural facility. In a smaller community, we have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our patients and families and provide care that feels personal and individualized. There is something incredibly rewarding about caring for people in the community where I grew up and being part of such an important moment in their lives.
Personal Interests: I have 3 children, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and a dog, so they keep me busy. In my personal free time I enjoy gardening, reading, vacations, and just hanging out with my family.
Fun Fact: None to report.
