At Osceola Medical Center (OMC), we believe that the warmth of a community is reflected in the spirit of its volunteers. Our volunteers are more than just helpers; they are the heartbeat of our hospital, bringing comfort, convenience, and care to our patients and their families.
If you're someone who embodies kindness, has a knack for customer service, and is looking to make a meaningful difference, we invite you to join our vibrant team of volunteers.
Why Volunteer at OMC?
Volunteering at OMC is not just about giving your time; it's about making a real impact. It's about being part of a family that values each individual's contribution towards creating a healthier, happier community. Whether you're a retiree looking to give back, a student hoping to gain experience, or simply someone with a heart for service, your time at OMC will be rewarding and impactful.
What Does It Take to Be a Volunteer?
Becoming a volunteer at OMC is a commitment to excellence and empathy. To ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and staff, we require:
A completed application.
A background check to ensure the safety of our community.
TB testing and a health screen, covered by OMC, to ensure you're in tip-top shape to help others.
HIPAA training to keep patient information confidential and secure.
A general orientation to make you well-acquainted with our facility and practices.
Flexibility to Fit Your Lifestyle
We understand that life is busy, and we value your willingness to contribute your time. That's why we offer flexible scheduling for our volunteers. Whether you can spare a few hours once a month or are looking to be involved a couple of times per week, we can find a schedule that works for you.
Our volunteer shifts primarily occur during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, allowing you to easily integrate volunteering into your routine.
Right now, we're shining a spotlight on our Farmhouse Market - offering comfort and joy to patients, visitors, and staff alike. Volunteering at The Market is a unique opportunity to brighten someone's day. If this sounds like your kind of place, we would love for you to be a part of our team.
