Boris Beckert, MD

Emergency Medicine

Philosophy of Care: When I’m treating patients, I see the whole person, not just as  “sore throat” or a “chest pain.” Everyone has a story to tell, and that story is what provides meaningful and interesting context to each interaction.

What drew you to work at OMC? I've always had an interest in rural healthcare. OMC is a shining example of how local care can be really good and also treat our community members with grace and humanity.

Personal Interests: I have two grandchildren who live next door and they keep me very busy. My wife and I enjoy traveling and frequently visit Florida.

Fun Fact: I was born in Germany; my family immigrated to the US when I was only 2 years old.

Since we first opened our doors in 1932, OMC’s mission has remained the same: to inspire and improve the health and well-being of our community by combining quality "big city" healthcare with home-town customer service.
