Emily Walden, MSN/Ed

"My philosophy centers on placing women at the heart of their care, offering education and counseling that empowers them, and respecting the unique journey of each individual."

Length of Time at OMC: Since March 2024

Reason for Liking Work at OMC: "I was drawn to OMC's tight-knit community and its reputation for high-level care and commitment. It's a place where I can truly connect with and support the community."

Philosophy of Care: "I believe that Midwifery care is based on a partnership with women, provided with compassion, continuity, human presence, and communication that demonstrates cultural humility and respect. The midwifery model of care places the woman at the center of her care by providing education and counseling that empowers her to make the most informed decisions for herself and the health of her newborn. I believe it is a true honor to walk alongside women throughout all aspects of their lifespan and truly midwife all who come into my path. Every woman deserves a midwife!"

Personal Interests: "When I’m not at OMC, I enjoy spending time with my family, singing, playing games, assembling puzzles, and traveling."

Fun Fact about me: "I studied Opera for many years and was originally an Opera major in college." Areas of Passion:
